Laboratory

Our laboratory is very well equipped to perform a variety of tests.  We run a variety of blood tests on patients using our in-house blood machine, to diagnose problems such as diabetes or kidney disease.  Results can be obtained in 15 minutes.

We use our microscope regularly.  Our vets can use this to diagnose parasites and even perform fine needle aspirates on lumps and bumps before or after removal.  It is also used for urinalysis, to look for crystals or blood cells in the urine.

We use an external reference laboratory based in Cork for anything we can't perform in-house.
